In 2024, WEFABRIK, Inc. opened SMASELL Sustainable Commune, a mixed-use facility in the Kitakagaya 5-chome area where people can learn firsthand about SDGs.
It is situated on a roughly 200 tsubo (660 m2) site that was renovated from a former ironworks and brings together eco-friendly clothing, food, and housing brands. The facility serves as a place where people can learn about sustainability and permaculture firsthand through the instinctive feelings of “delicious,” “fun,” and “happy.”
