Opened in 2020, Super Studio Kitakagaya (SSK) repurposed a former shipyard building into a mixed-use facility that includes shared studios for artists and creators. Artists and creators face many challenges when trying to find a workspace to create. To address this, SSK was created to provide an environment where they could continue to create, offering multifaceted support for their artistic and creative activities.

Studios are not typically open to the public. However, SSK holds exhibitions several times a year to provide opportunities for many people to see not only the works themselves but also the creative activities taking place in this unique space along with the artists and creators behind them.
